POST:              Manager: Communications

DURATION:     Permanent

SALARY:          R699 166.72 per annum (Total Cost Council)

REQUIREMENTS:  A degree in Communication/Journalism   plus five (05) years’ experience in Communication. Sound knowledge and understanding of local Government legislations. The incumbent should have excellent communication, interpersonal relation and negotiation skills. The incumbent will also be expected to have a sound understanding of computer packages (MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint).

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: Provide efficient communication management support service, develop, maintain and oversee implementation of communication strategy policies and procedures .Compile, review, provide and manage the information to be given through to the media, stakeholders, potential customers and general enquirers. Any other responsibilities assigned from time to time by seniors in the District.

 

DEPARTMENT: Infrastructure and Water Services                    
           
POST:              Manager: Bulk OPS Specialist (Re-advertisement)
                       
DURATION:      Permanent

SALARY:           R699 166.72 per annum (Total Cost to Council)       

REQUIREMENTS: An appropriate B degree in Civil engineering plus five (05) years relevant experience. Knowledge and experience of project management and understanding of local government legislation .The incumbent will also be expected to be a professional Engineering technologist or illegible for registration as professional technologist. Good interpersonal relations and effective communications skills are added advantage.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: Develop specifications and standards for prioritised projects. Evaluate designs before compilation of tender documents and ensure continuous quality monitoring. Provide technical appraisal of tender, and implement compliance to conditions of grants and administer contracts. Support social facilitation on capital projects and supervise the projects. Any other responsibility assigned from time to time by seniors in the District.
