- Numerous Tenders have been advertised and the contracts awarded
- The Labour Forum has been established, and is already working with some of the Project Contractors to acquire the labour for their respective projects
- De Hoop Dam Labour Charter was siggned on 19 March 2007
- Construction of the Visitors Information Centre (VIC) has started
- Twenty one privately-owned farms/properties affected by the De Hoop Dam basin have been purchased
- Land for the establishment of a conservation area has been acquired
- A report on the unregistered land rights has been completed and submitted to the Land Affairs Board
- The project area was declared a National Conservation Forest.
