Role of the Municipal Manager
Municipal Manager is the head of administration and is responsible for tasks according to the Municipal Systems Act and policy directions of the municipal council. The Municipal Manager is entrusted with full accountability  and carrying out of the task of implementing the municipality’s integrated development plan.

Ms Mapule Mokoko’s biography
Mapule Mokoko commands 20 years experience in public service. She is the founding Municipal Manager of Fetakgomo Local Municipality since its establishment in the year 2001. She was elected the chairperson of the provincial Municipal Managers’ Forum – an intergovernmental relations co-ordination structure for the province.

In the year 2009 she was appointed Director in the Office of the Executive Mayor, subsequently seconded to Greater Tubatse Local Municipality for strategic intervention that led to the durable stability of the municipality. She was later appointed as Municipal Manager of Sekhukhune District Municipality in April 2012.

Her motto is – it’s through team work that any success can be achieved!
