Potlake Game
Reserve

Fetakgomo is not
really known as an exotic destination, but it gained a new
dimension since the Potlake Game Reserve came into the picture.
Tourists will no doubt want to experience the beauty of nature,
but it would be unfortunate if they leave Fetakgomo Municipality
without realizing other treasures awaiting discovery. It is
ideally located for access to the Dilokong Corridor and many
shafts of platinum and chromium mines. |

The Mines |
Next to Potlake, is
a platinum mine, Lebowa Platinum Mines, called Atok Mine by
Fetakgomoans. It has brought much needed employment
opportunities to the people of Fetakgomo, of the Sekhukhune
District, of Limpopo Province and the Republic of South Africa
at large. |

Monameetse Water
Spring

One of the scenic
highlights is the Monameetse spring water, which the locals
believe to be inhabited by water spirit. They also believe that
the snake that needs not to be provoked provides the water.

Tjate, the heritage site for the Bapedi. Meet the god of the
Bapedi for your fortunes. The place is rich with the Bapedi
history, viz, wars of resistance with the English led by
Burgers. The route to Phahlamanoge. At the Mathakane viewpoint
one could see how beautiful is Tjate, the village, Thaba-mosego,
the mountains full of wild animals, reptiles of all sorts and of
songs of birds filled with happiness of the day. Peep through
the congested trees and witness how beautiful is nature. It is
rich with cultural heritage and an abundance of wildlife and
nature-based tourism opportunities, indeed a treasure chest
waiting to be discovered.

The miracles and
the scenic beauty of our municipality are endless. To believe or
not to believe is not the question. Visit Mohlaletse, and ask
for the route to the Royal kraal, Mošate. This place was named
after the river that runs through the village and other areas of
Fetakgomo. It nourishes the throats of everybody and everything
next to it.Fetakgomo is the place with warm culture of the
Bapedi. It is the warm culture that embraces as you move close
to the Royal Kraal of King Sekhukhune. This is the home of
traditional dance. Kiba is the dance. Listen to the drums,
sekgokolo, matikwane and phoisele and feel at home to forget the
worry of this planet. Mfološa-nkwe thabeng is the group
entertaining the tourists. The Head Quarters of the giant
association, FETAKGOMO O SWARE MOTHO.Lesufi le Dithalabodiba,

Visit the Olifants
River that stretches from Shubushubung down to Mphaaneng to see
the 4x4 driving show. Great for your relaxation and
entertainment. Boredom becomes a thing of the past. One may even
forget to go back home. It is really enjoyable. Hire or bring
your own 4x4 to join the driving show.

Mphanama Cave |
The cave is
situated in Ward 1, Mphanama Village in the Fetakgomo
Municipality. This boasts the local heritage site. Locals are
better placed to tell what they believe in. It is a cave rich
with history.
