Walking long distances to school
will be a thing of the past for schools in three rural nodes.

 

The Minister of Transport, Minister Jeff Radebe, handed over 400 bicycles to needy learners in Greater Tubatse municipal area during the launch of the Integrated Rural Mobility and Access (IRMA) project recently. The objective of this project is to improve access to transport in rural areas while reducing distances travelled by rural communities. The project also encourages the use of physical transport facilities such as paths and river crossings and improves access to goods and services for remote rural areas.
