The Campaign will be launched at the District level on the 5th of
December by the
MEC: Maite Nkoana Mashabane. The Theme for the launch will be “Age of Hope: 16 Years – 16
Days.
The Purpose of the launch is to acknowledge the importance
of strategic partnership in the eradication of violence against
women and children. We hope also to use the occasion to thank our
partners for their support in the past and to consolidate the
partnerships into the future. The aim of the campaign this year is
to reach the people at grassroots level and to reach people beyond
Sekhukhune Region.
The launch will take the form of a mass rally base which involve
Children and Ordinary Women from Sekhukhune. This comes as a result
of enormous interest shown from around our district. This year also
marks the 16th anniversary of the international 16 days of Activism
Campaign.
The target audience for this day is Women Ministers, Civil Society
within the district etc.
The day will be combined with the launch of the “Women District
Forum” and “Sekhukhune District Disable Entrepreneurs Network”.
